Target + Neiman Marcus

Saturday {12/1} the Neiman Marcus + Target collaboration hits stores.  When this was first announced a few months back I was super excited.  Being that I can’t afford to shop at NM I thought this would be a great opportunity for me to stock up on a few items.

After looking at the collection, there are some really fun items, but I am not sure if they are worth waking up early and fighting over.  I am curious to know your thoughts?

Core Fusion Challenge

My sister is the most fit person I know.  Growing up she was always on the chunkier side then she hit college and bam fit Rebecca was born.  Whenever I see her {once or twice a year}, I can’t believe how toned she is.  Last year she told me to buy Core Fusion DVDs.  She swears by them.  Of course I bought them, did them a few times then on to the next thing.  {I bet you can see a pattern here of my workout habits.}

Yesterday I saw this picture on the Tone It Up girls facebook page and immediately became inspired.  I thought I look like this and I want to look like that!  How do I do it? The first thing that came to mind was Core Fusion.  I started Googling and came across this post.  Whatever it was just clicked.

The next 30 days will include the following:

3 days of Core Fusion DVDs which are 50 minutes a piece
2 days of jogging

Goals
5 regular push-ups
Lose 2 inches around my waist
Hold Plank for 60-90 seconds
Jog a mile under 10 minutes

{Just a side note: Yoga/Bar Method/Spin/Equinox gym memberships are $100+ per month in our neighborhood and I can’t afford it, unless Groupon is involved. Plain and simple.}

Catfish

Catfish is a 2010 American documentary film, directed by Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman, involving a young man being filmed by his brother and friend as he builds a romantic relationship with a young woman on the social networking website Facebook.[1] {via here}

This weekend I got sucked into the Catfish doc on MTV.  When the doc first came out it seemed like it was at the height of the FB craze and I didn't want anything to do with it.  Now I can't believe I waited so long to see it.  The end will blow your mind on how far people will go to be someone else.

MTV now as a TV show with the same title.  We recorded two episodes this weekend and I sat their with my jaw dropped the whole time.  How can people be so naive?!  Being someone who chooses to put my life out there through blogging I realized how easily someone could become me?  {not that I am that cool, but it could happen}  I would highly recommend checking this new show out.  Mondays at 11 PM.

Quick Thanksgiving Recap

What a fabulous four day break from reality!  I hope yours was just as relaxing, filling and joyous as ours was.  When I woke up Sunday morning it was hard for me to rationalize we just had a day left before we head back to work.

Just a few highlights from our weekend included a Gator win against the Noles, decorated our apartment for Christmas {coming soon}, ate until I couldn't anymore, a few NFL games, errands and to cap off our weekend, a long walk by the beach {my jeans are thanking me}.

{see yall in the Sugar Bowl...chomp, chomp}

Being Thankful

Most days I consider myself one of the luckiest girls in the world.  {Insert eye roll here} As corny as it sounds my life is so full, sometimes I have to stop and look around at how blessed I am.  Today is defiantly one of those days.

My sweet husband
Parents/In-Laws who offer nothing but unconditional support
Our amazing friends near and far
A job I love
A career path M is passionate about
700 sq ft on the Westside
A short commute to work
TiVo for M’s late night work sessions
Legs that allow me to walk/run by the beach
Being content about where our life is right now
Being excited about what is to come
J.Crew
Essie nail polish
My down pillow
My sister’s new job and her getting ready to graduate in the spring
My other sisters new found independence
Two bosses who might be the nicest guys on earth
Finding new music that makes me dance in my car
Yoga
Realizing it is about the journey and not instant gratification
Realizing you create your own happiness

I hope you and your loved ones have a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving!!
