Currently

Reading: Point of Retreat by Colleen Hoover.  This month I have read 6 books.  Books have quickly replaced TV, which I actually love.   I was watching was to much of the tube anyways.

Wanting: Anything and everything for Cabo!  I have been scouring websites looking for the most fun dresses and bathing suites.

Feeling: Sore.  The past couple weeks I have been working out 4 days per week and taking fun classes around LA.  Honestly I don’t know what has gotten into me, but I am loving the new and improved version of myself.

Listening: Tegan & Sara’s Closer and Girl Talk for my workouts.  I love falling in love with old music again.

Drinking: Water and Diet Dr. Pepper only.  I’ve had alcohol only 3 days this month which might be a record.  Not worth wasting the calories.

Dreaming:  The day M gets to show his film at Sundance.

Loving:  New friends.  More on this laterJ

Sunday Social

What is your ideal way to relax?
Give me a glass of wine, a hot shower and a bed with clean sheets and I will be in heaven.

Where is your favorite place to be?
Pawleys Island, South Carolina.  I haven’t been there in years but my childhood memories of napping in the hammock at our rental after spending the day at the beach make me so happy.

Who do you consider your biggest roll model?
For marriage, my parents.  They went through a lot when I was a teenage and stuck it out.  They really showed my sisters, M and I that love can concur all.
Personally, almost any woman married to a director in Hollywood.  I bow down to you and can't wait to be apart of your unique club one day.

What does your life look like in 3 years?
M and I will have been married for 8 years and will still be in LA.  He will be working on his second movie.  I’ll still be at T0MS or traveling on location with M. We will have bought our property in Montana and possibly be renting a house.  No kids yet.  That is apart of our 5-7 year plan.

If you could go back and change one decision what would it be?
I would have loved to go to a big college football school for college, preferably U of Florida.

What is your biggest accomplishment in life thus far?
My career so far.  Five years ago I was a receptionist at Guess then worked my way up to EA to the COO and by chance a position opened at my dream company.  I applied, interviewed and got it.
I will say my relationship with M is up there too.  15 years with the same guy and not breaking up once in high school or college is quite the accomplishment.  I guess you could say it is a tie.
Nothing says love like upside-down margaritas {2006} :)

Just Chillin

Happy Friday!  Mother Nature was such a tease last week with her beach temps.  I guess this is payback from the rest of the country because rain is in our forecast all weekend long.  Boo!  This weekend you will find me sleeping in, indulging in Chick-fil-a salads, reading, finishing Homeland season 1, and doing Core Fusion DVDs at home.  As wonderful as that sounds I would much rather be a the beach {wouldn’t we all?}  I hope you have a lovely weekend.  Xo

Pinning

I have fallen in love with Pinterest all over again-seems to be a theme this week {falling in love with random stuff}.  After a long unintentional break I have come back to the most addicting/time wasting website ever.  Here are some of my favorite pins from the past few days...

Warm Weather & Good Company

This past weekend made me fall in love with LA all over again.  The weather the past few days has been unreal and it should continue into this week.  If you live in a cold city my apologies, you really should consider moving;)

Friday night included a sunset run and my new favorite TV show Homeland.  How are we just now watching this?!?!

There were so many people enjoying the view Friday night.

Saturday also included a run by the beach.  It was super motivating to see 200+ runners from the LA RoadRunner Club running through Brentwood/Santa Monica.  It was so wonderful to see so many active people in all different shapes and sizes.  Maybe one day I will have the courage to join them.  For lunch I met my two favorite LA bloggers, Julie from The Smitten Mintons and Allie from Suri’s Burn Book.  We dined at The Grove and did a little shopping.  It was the perfect weekend to go since it feels pretty empty here due to Sundance.  Later that evening Marco and I headed back to the beach, just because we can, to watch the sunset.  A night at Baja Cantina and Aziz Ansari stand up completed out night.

Sunday I woke up early and headed into Hollywood to meet up with some co-workers and hike to the Hollywood sign.  It was about a 7 mile hike round trip.  It was great to bond with my work friends and cross something off my LA bucket list.  M and I spent the rest of the afternoon watching football {poor Falcons} and grilling with our windows open.

When we aren't wearing our T0MS, our shoe of choice are Nike Frees.

Love this picture!

It's Friday!

{personal photo}

Dear Doug, Devin, Corey & Marco, Remember the end of last year when we all agreed 2013 was going to be our year?  Well, it looks like just 3 weeks in good things are starting to happen.  I can’t wait to see what the rest of the year has in-store for us.  Good vibes!  Dear Tegan & Sarah, Your song Closer has been on repeat the past few days.  I even ran an extra mile on Tuesday because of it, which of course made me very happy.  Dear LA, It has been freezing here for the past few days and by freezing I mean in the low 50’s.  I don’t live here for the lower temps.  I live here for mid-70s and sunny.  I am glad you got your act together yesterday, sunny and 72J Dear Weekend, You are filled with lots of girl time.  Lunch with friends at The Grove on Saturday and hiking to the Hollywood sign on Sunday.  You are also a 3-day weekend, who can hate on that?  Dear Corey & Allie, I know I don’t tell you enough but I am so grateful to have to in my life.  Some days I don’t know what I would do without yall.  Dear Marco, You are my happiness.
