Five on Friday

THE GOOD LIFE BLOG

Hallelujah! It is Friday!  Is anyone else thrilled it's the weekend?  No big plans this weekend, except our  Sunday LA family dinner we do once a month with about 20 of our friends from GA/people we've met out here.  With friends starting families it is a great way for us to stay connected. So let's get this Friday blog party started and talk about the 5 things that rocked my world this week.

{1}
The Tone It Up Girls...yes, I'm late to the party.  M actually introduced me to them years ago, but I didn't take notice until now.  He works in the fitness video industry so he's always looking for new talent.  Well, my sister is ripped and she credits her toned arms and legs to at home workout videos.  This week I gave up a day running for weights and I turned to these girls.  Thanks ladies!

{2}
WhatsApp being bought by FB for $16B!  My girlfriends and I are addicted to this app.  Most days I don't know what I would do without it.  It's gross to be so dependent on technology sometimes, coming from the girl whose phone it attached to her hand 24/7.

{3}
My new favorite Soul instructor, Kym.  Y'all if you ever visit LA you have to visit Soul Cycle for a class.  She is ripped, plays amazing music, and I pretty much want to be as cool as her one day.
Abs to die for.  #mygoal
{4}
T0MS is launching optical glasses.  They are kind of fabulous and uber stylish.  Even though I don't wear glasses I am temped to get a pair.

{5}
Happy Birthday to my favorite (and only) sister in law, Allie!  She turns the big 29 tomorrow.  I wish we could be there to celebrate with you.  Last year of your 20's sis...enjoy it!!!! xo

Getting ready to go "clubbing" at age 16 Alpharetta, GA.  We thought we were so cool!

hi

Hello-long time, no type.

The past few months have been a whirlwind in good and bad ways.  It feels like life is finally starting to get back on track and I’m excited about it.  I don’t do well with change internally, but externally I always have a smile on my face.  I don’t want to be looked at in a negative light.  M’s finally got his happy wife back and let me tell you, the one who moved in for a few months was one big bitch.  Looking back now I’ve realized I needed to go though those changes to get to where I am now-you can't be happy all-the-time.  I’m embracing my new future, new bosses, new friends, new challenges with an open heart.

I think sometimes we add pressure to ourselves to be the best at all times.  No one can keep that up, even Beyonce, just look at her doc from last year.  She struggles with it too.  I want this to be my happy place where I can share what’s going on in my life and not worry about being the best blogger out there.  So today the pressure is released off my shoulders, I’m standing proud and ready for whatever life throws my way next.

Here we go…
