Witches, Goblins & Zombies

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

My office takes Halloween very, very seriously.  Tomorrow will be interesting because I am not a dress up person, but hopefully the whole office being in costume will help.  There will be a video in the next coming weeks on how over the top they go.

Later in the evening we are heading to our friends house to hand out candy and eat chili & drink wine, our little tradition.

I hope ya'll have a wonderful Halloween!

Believing in You

A couple weeks ago M was presented with a once in a lifetime opportunity.  He received a call from a friend wanting his resume ASAP to be a director’s assistant to one of his idols.  This has happened before so we don’t really get our hopes up anymore.

Long story short, he got the job!  You would think that we would be rejoicing right?  Wrong.  We were confused.  Is this the right step for him?  If this position came up a year ago he would have jumped on the chance, but he has made so much progress since then with his script.

After 12 hours of debating back and forth he turned it down.  Some might think he is crazy.  The opportunity to work on a $130 million dollar movie and lots of commercials for well-known brands-I knows it sounds insane.  Here is to betting on yourself and believing you have the talent to get your own $130 million dollar movie one day.

The director attached to the movie hasn’t been announced yet.  When it is I will let y’all know.  Oh and to sweeten the deal, the film is being shot in London.  I die.

Friday's Letters

Who didn't love Daria?
Dear Sick Day, Yesterday is just what you needed.  Grilled cheese, sprite and a ton of TiVo-ed shows is just what I needed.  Hopefully this little cold won't get in the way of my weekend.  Fingers crossed.  Dear My First Home, Where do yall get your $$$?  One of the episodes a young girl my age was looking at a million dollar condo in Boston.  Yes, I get Boston is expensive, but what do you do?  In the end she took a $300K loan from her parents.  Dear HGTV, You make me want my own home really bad.  This is not good.  Dear Gators, You need to win this weekend if you want to go to the SEC Championship game.  Chomp Chomp those Dawgs!  Dear Marco, I think a date night is in order this weekend if I am feeling better.  Dear In-Laws, Yall will be here in a week!  Happy dance:)

a pin & getting your run on

Pinterest.  This sight seriously fills my soul.

I have been feeling a void in my workouts lately.  As much as I love hot yoga I am starting to realize I can't do it everyday like I have been doing this month.
I need variety.

Last night I was talking with M telling him how much I missed running.  I can't wait for Saturday to hit for our morning run by the beach.  Both of us always feel so invigorated afterwards-it is the perfect start to our weekend.

Yesterday when I was browsing pins I came across this article.  If you are a runner or thinking about starting, I think this will motivate you.

Enjoy!

Fact Is...

Today I am linking up with Nicholl at The Chiffon Diary.  I thought this was the perfect link up since I am not 100% back to reality.
FACT: I am sitting in Panera right now around the corner from my office because our power is out.  Wasn't predicting to start the day this way at all, but I am 100% okay with it.
FACT: Yesterday I started my vacation recap post, but got side tracked with yoga and the debates.  I know yall are on pins and needles waiting to hear about it ;)
FACT: The easiest meal in the world is grilled chicken Cesar salads.  We eat them at least once per week if not twice.
FACT: I love that I can wear T0MS everyday to work.  This makes my feet so happy.
FACT:  As much as I love politics I am ready for us to elect a president already.
FACT: This months Goop Birchbox was the BEST one I have received yet hands down.  The best frivolous $10 I spend per month.
In honor of Taylor's new album.  I thought this photo was adorable.

Core Power Yoga Obsession

A few months ago I professed my love for Core Power Yoga.  After a couple weeks free I was on the fence about getting a membership (mainly  due to price and not knowing my new job schedule).    While I was having this internal debate a Groupon came out for 30 days for $60.  I jumped on it.

I am two weeks in and still loving it.  I feel better, my mind is more clear, my priorities are in order-I feel like I am high on life.  My favorite classes are Heated Power Yoga with Weights and Hot Power Fusion.  I am a disgusting mess after each class, but it feels amazing to sweat like a pig.  Yes, I just said that.  I am literally drenched head to toe.  Think of working out in 95-105 degree weather with humidity.

I love that I have found a way to be active that I enjoy.  I haven’t seen the scale move at all {which bums me out}, but I have lost over an inch in my stomach.  It is always the first place I lose weight so hopefully the pounds will start to fall off.

Are you a yogie?  What actives do you love? What is your favorite at home workout?

Weekend Recap

This weekend was one for the books!  It started off Friday night seeing ARG0 at the Archlight on Sunset.  This was a very special occasion because our good friend has been Ben's assistant for the past 3 years and of course we have to support him.  About 15 of us got together for drinks at the theater before the movie and then saw it in the dome.  The movie was awesome.  Afterwards we headed to Stout for burgers and beer.  It was one of the best nights out with friends we have had in awhile.  It was also fun to be out in Hollywood for the night.

Credits/M & Doug waiting for the movie/The Dome/M & Spence/M & I at dinner
The rest of our weekend was spent walking down by the beach, watching the Gators win, dinner with friends and their adorable son, NFL games, grocery shopping and of course The Walking Dead premier.

Dear Mom & Dad, One week until we get to hangout at Casa Collingsworth!  I can’t wait.  It is going to be just the break we need.  Lots of wine included.  Dear Aunt Laurie, I can’t wait to see you for Natalie’s wedding.  You are one of my favorite people in the world.  You are always glowing.  Dear M, I am so proud of you.  You have a plan and you are sticking to it.  All your late nights writing with Doug will be worth it.  I see this as the beginning of an amazing life.  French Door Life!  Dear Corey, Our talk about blogging the other night inspired me beyond belief.  Thank you!  Dear Life, I am happy, really, really happy.
