It's a God thing!

There have been many times in my life where I have questioned the path I am going down.  Right now I have never been more sure that this is exactly where we should be.

We decided against moving to Toluca Lake.  It was a gut instinct based on a handful of instances with our potential new property manager.  His actions and words didn't sit right with us. The final straw was on Saturday afternoon while we were packing.  He called and wanted to know if M was a doctor or lawyer since he has quite a bit of student loans.  {Four years out of state will do that, duh?}  This left a really un-easy feeling in both of us.  Who is he to question our student loan debt and what we choose to do for a living?  Especially when we pay our bills on time!  After a few hours of debating and continuous packing I gave M a sheet of paper.  I told him to write stay or move and we would switch.  I went into the kitchen and he stayed in the family room.  We both wrote STAY.  Immediately we both felt a sense of relief.  It was amazing.  We headed over to our friends place for celebratory drinks at 1 AM.

No dog in our near future but honestly this whole experience has put our wants vs needs to perspective. A puppy is something we still want, but realize we don't need her to make us happy.  When the time is right we will welcome a precious Frenchie into our lives.  I am so blessed to be living in LA with the man that I love, pursing our dreams and have a roof over my head. Right now life is perfect!

I am so glad to hear that you trusted your instinct! I know it can be sooo frustrating when your ideas don't go along with His, but it's all about trusting in Him and following His plan for us! :)

It seems like you two made the right decision - and we are happy as clams that you are still on the Westside!! :)

Like you said, your doggy time will come - and if you ever want any puppy time you can borrow ours! HA!

oh my gosh britt! we went through the same uneasy feeling about moving to LA (because we were offered a different LA job before the beverly hills one) and we kind of did the same thing saying "don't take it!" but then 48 hours later, the beverly hills job opened up and it felt right! good job for trusting your instinct!

It's nice when you & your partner both want the same thing. Makes everything else seem like it will be ok
