The Oscars are like my Super Bowl.
I love them!
This will be Marco's and my 14 year watching them together. When he was in college I would always take the Monday after off work so we could watch them together on Sunday night. Yes, I am that dedicated.
We live in LA for one reason, film, with the goal of one day making a movie that leads to another and another and then one day when he is old and gray maybe an Oscar. It is that dream that keeps us here each and every day.
Well this morning the nominations were announced. We have been hesitant to see any films lately because we don't want to waste money on ones that won't be nominated. At $30 a pop for 2 tickets we have to choose wisely.
Our list of must see movies before 2/26 is a mile long and include the following:

21 films total so at this rate we will have to watch 5.25 movies a week. While I don't think that is going to happen realistically we are going to start this weekend with Moneyball, The Descendants and The Tree of Life.

Moneyball is AMAZING! I saw it in the theater, which I rarely do, and loved it!
Oh we share a lot of the same movies! I am dying to see the girl with the dragon tattoo! Let me know how it is if you see it !

I loved Moneyball and Descendants currently on the top of my to see list.
I saw Moneyball and Girl with the Dragon Tattoo recently. Moneyball was great, easy baseball movie. Dragon Tattoo was so disturbing!! Exactly what the movie was supposed to be, but stressful to watch.
I want to watch Descendants, Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close, Midnight in Paris, My Week with Marilyn, and the Artist.
