Top 2 Songs on your Ipod

Honestly I don't know if I can pick just 2!  This is so hard. Maybe I can narrow it down to 4 or 5.  Let's see...

1. Rhianna-S&M
Typically I can't stand her music, but there is something about the beat that makes me want to run a little bit harder/faster.

2. Jennifer Lopez-On The Floor
I have a soft spot for JLo.  It started during the Bennifer days with the track suits and lavender sunglasses.

3. Solar Twins-Rock the Cashbah
The Clash version is one of my favorite songs in the entire world, but it isn't up beat enough to run to so when I watch Broke Down Palace again over Christmas Break I immediately when our hard drive and searched for this long lost gem.

4. Sia-Breath Me
This song got me through some of my hardest times in college when MAG was away at school.  I typically listen to this as my cool down.

5. Girl Talk-All Day Album
I LOVE me some GT!  I have musically ADD pretty bad so this helps me not to get too bored while working out.

Top Two Celebrity Hairstyles

1. While I don't really consider Kristin to be a celebrity, in my book she is a reality start {two different things}, regardless of her celebrity/reality star status this girl has great hair!  I have a love/hate relationship with short hair.  When my hair is long I want it short. When it is short I want it long.  I just can't win. If I were to cut my hair short this is what I would get.

2. Not only is she one of the most beautiful women in the world, she has the most amazing hair.  I love everything about it.  The length, the color and curls.  I think I would give up my TiVo to have hair like hers.

Yesterday I was in a bad funk.  It was awful.  I hate it when I am like that.  MAG said he was determined to make me happy when I got home.  What did he do?  Force me to go to the gym and run.  I was not feeling it, but once I got there I pushed myself and was so happy to be there.  I literally left smiling ear to ear.  I woke up this morning feeling refreshed and ready to start the day.  I didn't realize how much I missed working out this past week.  Tonight we are heading to a work event at The Standard Hotel in West Hollywood.  I am am sure there will be some celebrity sightings which I love. Keri Hilson is performing.  Not sure who she is but I have heard her name before. Goodie Bags will be involved and who doesn't love free stuff?!  Can't wait to give you the full recap tomorrow:)

Out Of It

For the past few days I have been out of it.  I would typically blame the time change, but it started on Saturday so I am not sure what's my deal?  This past weekend was pretty low key.  Just the way I wanted it.  Friends came over Friday night for Chinese and drinks.

Saturday went to Tender Greens for lunch {yummy!} That evening we went to Nobu for dinner with MAG's sister, uncle & brother in law.  Dinner was AMAZING!  If you ever have a chance to dine there do it-you won't regret it.  MAG's Uncle was in town for one night before a meeting in Cabo so he wanted to take us out.  He love Nobu and dines there whenever he can.  Needless to say we didn't open a menu.  He just ordered for us.  We had 2 bottles of wine and endless food.  I know I am hyping this up but it was truly the best sushi I have ever had.

Sunday we went apartment hunting, so you would think we are moving right?  Well, not quite yet.  We both really want to get a dog but finding a dog friendly apartment in LA is hard.  Especially on the westside where we live.  It is actually really annoying because we live by a park and the beach-plenty of space to walk a dog.  We are starting to look now and will hopefully move by fall.  Both of us can't wait to add a new addition to our little family.

Sorry no pictures...honestly, I wouldn't want to bore you with those.  Nothing exciting happened this past weekend:)

Top 2 Random Facts About You

1. I am obsessed with my hair and skin.  I know a lot of girls care about their skin & hair, but I am obsessed with how soft mine is.  I am always playing with my hair to twirling it {when I am at home}.  If my hair isn't soft one day I get annoyed.
2.   I wear jeans everyday.  One of the perks of my job is that I don't have to wear dress pants.  This might be one of my favorite things about my job:)

Top 2 Things you've learned about relationships

1. Don't ever let go of your dreams.  This is a hard one for me.  When MAG and I first got married I felt that I was giving up a lot for him to pursue his dream of becoming a Director.  I was leaving the only state I had ever lived in and moving to a place I had visited every couple years.  Now that we are 2.5 years into our new life I truly believe this is how it was all supposed to happen.  I am living out my dream of working in Corporate America in Operations.  We are in the process of taking the steps needed in order to get to where we want to be in the future.

2.  Be realistic.  Husbands are not mind readers.  If you think that then you could be setting yourself up for failure and too high of expectations.  Don't be afraid to tell them what you do want.  I have come to learn that this is the one person in life who isn't going to judge or make fun of you.  They love you unconditionally, faults and quirks included.

Top 2 Things You've Learned About Money

1.  Don't stress about the dolla, dolla bills ya'll!
I stress about almost everything.  It is one of my bad habits.  Last year I decided that I am going to stop worrying about how much $ I have in my bank account.  MAG and I are both responsible adults with a budget that we stick to each month.  Why should I spend negative energy on something when I know in the end we are going to be fine.

2.  Money can't buy happiness, but it sure can buy stuff!
I find myself saying more and more that our apartment is filled with too much stuff.  Sometimes I feel like our place is never clean because I have too many shoes or jackets laying around.  I have come to realize that this stuff is actually annoying me more than bringing be happiness.  I would rather save our money for a rainy day or Hawaii.

Top 2 Things you've learned from your parents or grandparents

1. Communication is Key!  My parents always had an open and honest relationship with us growing up.  Because of this I am this way.  I would see my parents work out issues they had that weren't intended for teenagers, but by them doing this I was able to realize how important it is to communicate with your partner.  I think MAG and I have a great relationship because of this.  He always knows where I stand and vice versa.

2. Follow your dreams!  Ever since I was little I grew up hearing about how my parents left Arizona after they got married to start a new life somewhere different-that was their dream.  Little did I know growing up the same thing would happen to me.  My parents are two of the most supportive people I know.  I think this is why I am so optimistic on life because at a young age they instilled in me with thoughts that anything is possible.  Here I am living in Santa Monica with my hubby & best friend spending weekends at the beach.  I guess I dreamed pretty big!

Top Two Tuesday...Things You've Learned About Friendship

Top 2 things you've learned about friendship

1. Friends are family you pick.  My LA family consists of about 12 of us.  We spend birthdays, holidays and random nights together drinking, playing the Wii or Sunday's at the beach.  We always say we don't know what we would do without one another!

2. In life you don't need a lot of friends, just really amazing ones!  In HS I was always envious of the popular girls for many reasons, but one was they always had a lot of friends.  Over time I have come to realize that it is okay to have a handful of friends that you truly love.  For me it is my sisters, Allie, Corey, Melissa and my parents.  Knowing that they support me in everything I do means the world to me.

On a side note, is there ever a time of the month where you drop EVERYTHING?  Well I do.  My friends say it is because I am ovulating?  Not sure if this is true or not, but today I am having one of those days.  For example, I dropped my iphone and shattered the screen first thing this morning.  I am so mad at myself for doing this you have no idea!  Apple wants to charge me $199.  I can send it in to a repair shop online and they will do it for $69.  I tried to see if MAG could fix it, but he said no way.  So it looks like I am going with option B and wasting spending $69 on an accident.

I started week 4 of C25K.  I was really nervous to start this week.  Running for 5 minutes straight intimidated me like crazy, but I did it!  Looking forward to hitting the treadmill tomorrow and running my iphone sorrows away!
