Saturday Morning Stroll

I almost feel like an idiot admitting this out loud.  Up until last weekend M and I had never been to Abbot Kinney in Venice.  Now I am kind of mad at myself for us never exploring this area before.  

We fell in love the Venice a couple years ago visiting a friend of ours who lives by the canals.  Why we didn’t cross the street and explore is beyond me?!  

Here is a recap of our morning stroll through Venice…

We found the cutest paper shop. I could have bought everything in there!

If you ever come here there is a Shabby Chic type of decor store.  It way beyond beautiful.  I didn't catch the name of it.

My two favorite colors! The next couple pictures were taken at a different decor store.

 An antique store across the street had the most intriguing window displays.  Different color glass cake stands from floor to ceiling in green, purple and pink.  It was a sight!

M's little brother is obsessed with cars.  We had never seen this car before.  We texted him a picture and his response was, "Oh yeah, the Karma.  It's owned by BMW and it solar powered.  They have only made a few and Leo DiCaprio bought the first one."  No, we didn't see him:(

Overall it was the most perfect start to our weekend!  I wish we could do it all over again tomorrow.

To-Do Lists

I wish my to-do list looked like this for the week.  Instead I will be running a million errands running around like a crazy girl to get ready for this adorable couple.  Why are weekends only 2 days and why don't I have President's Day off?!

They are two of my favorite people in the world and they are coming to LA this weekend to visit us.  YAY!  Allie {SIL} is like a sister to me since since I began dating her brother when we were 14 and her cute hubby Brock is the nicest guy ever.

Fingers crossed this work weeks flies by and I don't end up pulling out my hair getting ready for them.  

Golden Years

I was going though Facebook the other day looking at pictures of when Marco was in college.  I spent at least one weekend a month up in Winston-Salem, NC.  I hated that town.  There was nothing to do.  The only thing it had going for it was Cookout.

In college we always said the goal was to work together an make a project.  To this day we share the same goal.  I am the token girl in the group, but I love it.  These men are now like my brothers.
