Weekends Make Me Happy

I know you have been on pins and needles wanting to know how Marco’s meeting went yesterday.  {I kid}  To say it mildly, it went as good as it could have.  There are a few things Marco and his producer have to put together this coming week {fun stuff like budgets and a treatment}.  We should know by the end of the month whether or not he is making this Documentary.  I don’t want to get too exciting because I have seen first hand major deals broken, but we are both very optimistic.  

Tonight I am excited because we are heading to 800 Degrees for pizza and then our favorite movie theater to see The Artist.  I am quite enjoying our little Friday night date nights.

Saturday should be beautiful so a run by the beach will be thoroughly enjoyed and maybe a little outlet shopping.  Sunday is movie day.  We have Midnight in Paris and Beginners followed by the Grammy’s.  

Introduction

In the past couple weeks I have gained quite a few new followers.  First off I want to say welcomeJ and thanks for stopping by.  I love having this creative outlet.

I wanted to take a moment to introduce and re-introduce myself to the newbies.

Marco {my husband} and I moved to LA 3.25 years ago.

He is an aspiring Director.  I work in Fashion.

LA is home and will be for quite a while.  10+ years for sure.

We are high school sweethearts from Alpharetta, GA.

I dream of living a really big life.  

I *try* to run.

Blogs, traveling, nail polish and cupcakes make me happy.

What I'm Loving

I'm LOVING UNC School of the Arts Alumni {Marco's university}!  This has been a big week for David Green and our friend Tyler Cook!  DGG directed this commercial.  You might have seen it this past weekend on small show called the Super Bowl.  

Tonight Tyler's edited a full episode of Vampire Diaries which airs this week.

I'm LOVING the grocery store.  Yep, weirdo here.  Last night I spend $158 on $251 worth of groceries!  The tip is to buy what is one sale + coupons.  I wish this happened every time I went grocery shopping.  Sadly it doesn't.

I'm LOVING M's Jeep! I rarely get to drive it because it is his baby but he has a meeting after work tonight about an hour away so we switched.  Can't beat Honda's gas mileage.

I'm LOVING this man.  Please keep him in your thoughts tomorrow.  He is pitching a documentary to a potential investor.  They loved the trailer he did, so hopefully this will be great news to celebrate on Thursday night!  If not, we will figure it out.  We always do!

My New Favorite Place

On Saturday before the SoCal Blogger Meet-Up a group of us bloggers {Ashley, Julie, Stephanie, LeAnn, Meg and Selma} met for brunch at Paradise Cafe in Del Mar.  It was super delish and the view was to die for.  We enjoyed getting to know one another and take in the Pacific before heading south to La Jolla.

Overall is was a beyond perfect day.  The weather was amazing and the company was superb.  Some days I do have to pinch myself because California is truly an awesome place to live.  We are so spoiled! Ashley has a ton of pictures over at her blog.  You can check them out here.

So-Cal Blogger Meet-Up Recap

Saturday was a complete whirlwind!  The SoCal Blogger meet up was beyond fabulous.  Tammy,  Stephanie , Kelsey, Olivia, Kai & Hollie did an amazing job organizing the event for 60+ bloggers at Roppongi in La Jolla.  My favorite part of the event was making the personal connection with different bloggers and finding new blogs.  I am kind of a blog whore ;)
