We're Making a Movie!

Today I am a very proud wife.

MG launched his kickstarter last night for The Ocean Black.  

Kickstarter is the largest funding platform for creative projects in the world.  

Words can't even begin to express how excited we are for this opportunity.

Oscar Parties

As you know from my post here we are big Oscar people.  The Academy Awards are this Sunday.  I found on Deadline Hollywood and list of some of the parties that are happening this week around the city.  I seriously would give just about anything to attend.  I am sure MAG would too.

One event that is on the list is the Film Independent's Spirit Award.  This is an award that goes out to Best Feature, Best First Feature and Best Feature Made Under $500K {The John Cassavetes Award} and many more.  In our household this is the goal for The Ocean Black {if/when it gets made into a feature}.   I know some of you must think we are crazy, but it is MAG's passion so we have to Just Go With It {pun intended}!

If we were invited to a cocktail party this is what I would wear.  This is the best part right?!

Ch-Ch-Changes

Since starting my new j-o-b my life has completely changed.  I have gone from having very little responsibility to a lot of it.  Let me be clear, I am not complaining.  I really do love my new job; it is just an adjustment.  I got a B!ackberry yesterday.  I feel so official.  I have never used one before or an iphone {yes, I know! I haven't been living under a rock.  I just never wanted to spend the $ on one.} Well the BB is so cool! I love it.  I know it has only been one day, pretty soon it could be my worst nightmare.

On top of my work load, MAG's writing partner is in town for the next few weeks while they finish The Ocean Black.  I am really excited the script is almost finished.  This is the last piece of the puzzle before meetings can take place.

Needless to say December has become a stressful month for us, but I am dealing with it nicely {I think, MAG might beg to differ.}

The Ocean Black

I have been waiting months and months to shout from the rooftops about The Ocean Black.  Last December MAG came to me and told me he was sick of working his editing job and wanted to make a movie.  After lots and lots of discussions on story, budget, shooting dates, shot list, craft services, insurance, locations, building the elevator, cast and crew, on March 6 & 7th The Ocean Black came to life.  It was a whirlwind 2 days, but totally worth it. 

I want to personally thank the entire cast and crew who worked so hard on this film for free.  Without your hard work and dedication this would not have been possible.  We can't wait for the feature;)
