Weekend Recap

Do you ever have a weekend where you hype it up a little too much and it is kind of a disappointment?  That was this weekend.

Friday was off to a great start: yoga, dinner and searching Westwood for a fan.  This past weekend was the hottest one of the year and it was beyond miserable. 

Saturday I was up early to get my run in {which turned into a walk} and it was already 88 degrees at the beach.  I knew the rest of the day would be awful since we don’t have AC.  Our afternoon was spent watching the Gators kick the Vols butts. I was totally impressed with our new QB this game.  I think he has some great potential.

Later than evening it was two of my close friends birthdays.  We met at our friends place and then left for Bar Chloe.  It is this really quaint French bar in Santa Monica.  It was the perfect place to start the night off.  Champagne was flowing, great conversation and everyone was having a good time.  Then we changed locations to 310-a club.  Now let me just say I don’t have a problem with clubs, but my husband hates them.  He mainly hates the d-bags that frequent them.  Let’s just say there were some words shared between friends and it really rubbed us the wrong way.  We are in our in our late 20’s/early 30’s, why the drama?  I know when we drink things are said and we aren’t in our most mature state, but really?  Whatever, lesson learned, moving on.  M and I took a cab home at 2 AM, slept in the next day and enjoyed our cool apartment.  Sunday it was only 78.
