This morning we woke up and immediately checked to see who had been nominated this year. We were thoroughly disappointed when we learned Ben wasn't nominated for Best Director for Argo. Are you f-ing kidding me?! Yes, we might be a little bias since we had friends work on this film but whatever-it was an amazing film! How was Kathryn Bigelow not nominated for Zero Dark Thirty! It was better than Argo in my opinion. BUT the director of The Beast of the Southern Wild was nominated?! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! It was shot awful-too much hand held and there was only one moment that made it Oscar worth.
Regardless of my feelings I will still be having a party with lobster tails and champagne to celebrate another year in cinema, an industry that I will always have a special place in my heart for regardless of the stupid Academy picks.

I could not believe Affleck wasn't nominated! Argo was out of this world!
Glad you're as obsessed with the Oscars as I am! I still haven't completely let go of my dream of being successful in the film industry.
I've only seen four of this year's Best Picture noms, so I have lots of work to do before February 24th! I haven't seen Argo yet, but I'm glad that Affleck got some recognition last night at the Golden Globes.
