Goodbye Scarlet, Hello Jagger!

Saturday morning was a very bittersweet day for me.
I said goodbye to my loyal, Honda Accord, Scarlet.
I cried saying goodbye.  It was like I was saying so long to an old friend.
I freaked out when I found you in the Honda Carland parking lot that December morning because I had wanted you since I was about 14 {I was 20}.
I knew you were mine.

M and I leaving Alpharetta to LA, what a journey!
{This may be one our my most favorite pictures of us to date}

We have been through a lot of great times together and I will be forever grateful for keeping me safe.
I hope your next owner loves you as much as I do.

I would like to present to you my new 2012 VW Jetta, Jagger!
I am in love again:)

{I know this is a little silly and over dramatic}

Friday's Letters

Dear Marco, Thanks for sending me the adorable Frenchies yesterday.  It made my afternoon and want to move ASAP so we can have one.  Dear Neon Jeans, I think I might have to buy a pair.  They are so cute in our showroom!  Dear Car, Please don't be mad at me tomorrow.  Things will work out for the best whatever that may be.  Dear Beach, I am craving a vacation, an east coast vacay.  I would love to go to Charleston/Folly or even Destin.  Sadly this will have to go under next years vacation adventures.  Dear Friday, So we meet again...have I told you I love you lately because I really do.  Dear Blog World, You were right about The Hunger Games, I am hooked.  Dear LA Apartments, Why do you have to make things so difficult? Is it really too hard to ask for a dishwasher, patio, pet friendly, 750+ sq ft apartment on the Westside that isn't over our budget?  Anywhere else this would be completely doable, but no you have to make things difficult.  Ugh!  Dear Marco, Good vibes are being sent your way all day everyday.  Good vibes babe!

Praise You

Do you remember this song?
This morning on my way to work it came on and I started rocking out.
It immediately made me smile.
What songs do you love that no matter where you are or what you are doing they put a smile on your face?

Enjoy the little Thursday pick me up.  It is almost the weekend kids:)
{Side note: This looks like it was filmed in Westwood right by one of my favorite places, Diddy Riese!}

What I'm Loving

I'm LOVING my sweet husband for letting me take his car the rest of this week while he drives mine.

I'm LOVING that we are going to start looking for a new car this weekend {maybe I will get the one above?!}.  I hate that I don't feel safe in my car now.  I feel like I am cheating on her.  We have been together for over 8 years.

I'm LOVING today is Wednesday!  The weekend can't come fast enough.

I'm LOVING that the week has gotten better.  I don't think I could handle anymore Monday's this week.

I'm LOVING Vegas is 3.5 weeks away!

I'm LOVING where M and I are right now and the financial decisions we are making.

I'm NOT LOVING coming home yesterday and finding out our rent is being raised for no reason at all!  This is just another reason to move and get a dog.

Monday, You Are Not My Friend!

What a Monday!  Seriously, I haven't had a day that annoying/awful in a LONG time.  It started Friday morning when my boss put me in charge of an Executive Meeting taking place offsite.  Nothing like a last minute meeting, but whatever, I used to work for a meeting planning company, I can do this.  Friday was crazy, but everything gets done.  I feel good about it.

Fast forward to Monday...I arrive at the meeting location early.  Set everything up and get a call from my boss saying the location has changed.  Okay, "Expect the unexpected," is what I thought to myself.  Everything can be moved across town if need be.  No more than 10 minutes later the location is moved to our headquarters.  Of course after I changed all the deliveries to the new location. Everything ended up going fine, although this seems to be the tone for the week.

As I am driving home on the Santa Monica Freeway, for those of you that don't know it is a pretty busy freeway.  I am going about 60, I press my foot on the gas and my speed starts to drop.  I immediately turn on my flashers and start coasting across 4 lanes of traffic into the shoulder.  I was certain my transmission blew and I was going to be stuck waiting for a tow truck for at least and hour and this weekend we would be forced to get a new car. I called Marco crying mainly because I was scared.  A couple minutes later I turned on my car and it drove home fine.  Now I am scared to drive my car.  We are taking it to the shop this week.  My car is 12 years old and is starting to become more of a hassle than what it is worth.

On top of that I have been in a sour mood about M's career out here.  Why does it have to be so hard?!  Honestly I am not like this all the time.  I am going to blame this bad day on PMS.  Here is to being optimistic and thinking the week can only get better...right?!
