Happy Birthday!

Ben Hill Griffin Stadium aka The Swamp September 2006
Two of M's favorite things, the gators and his now wife;)

Happy Birthday Marco!

I am going to get a little sappy here for a minute.  You are the light of my life, my constant.  When we fell in love 14 years ago my world changed for the better.  I was lost, hanging out with the wrong crowd and you accepted me for who I was.  You never made me feel like I needed to conform to social norms.  You let me be me and I love you more and more each and every day.

The past few weeks I have been MIA because I have been super, super sick.  The first seven days I had a cold, got over it and less than two days later I was sick again with an even worse cold, cough and sore throat.  It was miserable.  During my 14 day sickness {3 work from home days} my TV and I became best friends.
My saving grace was Dawson's Creek.  Got to love Netflix instant.  In one day I watched 13 episodes, ate Lucky Charms and showered three times because it was the only way to stop my non-stop coughing.  When the Creek first came on the WB I was not allowed to watch it.  I was a freshman in HS and my parents thought it was too mature.  I am making up for lost time now I guess.  I'm half way through season two and am loving every awkward  Joey and Dawson moment.

The Walking Dead.  Yes, my husband is making a zombie-esq movie so naturally this is a staple in our household.  If you aren't watching do it.  Every Sunday we can't wait for 6 PM to see what happens next to Rick and the clan.

Days of Our Lives.  Yes, I am a loser and still watch this show.  Besides M this is my longest relationship since I started watching the show the summer I turned 13.  There is just something about this guy who makes me really, really want to be Sammy Brady.

Breaking Bad.  I hate to admit, but we are a little late on this bandwagon.  Half way through season 3 and I no longer have long fingernails due to each intense episode.  This might be my favorite show on TV and I can't wait to see what happens next.

Now that you are all caught up on my life over the past few weeks I can't wait to dive into Thanksgiving & Christmas posts and get back to my typically blogging schedule.

I've missed ya'll!

Sunday Social: Thanksgiving Edition

Favorite Thanksgiving Memory
My favorite memories are since I have moved to California.  Each year we have a friends Thanksgiving.  The night before we get together drink sangria, pre-cook and listen to music.  The day of we spend the whole day together, watch football and EAT!  Last year there were 40 of us!  This year will be a little bit smaller.

Favorite Thanksgiving Food
I love stuffing with gravy and rolls.  Weird.

What is a Thanksgiving Tradition you and your family have?
Growing up we would all watch the parade together.  In high school and college Marco and I were lucky enough to attend.  It will always be one of my favorite memories of us.

Show us a favorite Thanksgiving picture(or 5) from years past

Friday's Letters

Dear In-Laws, You are in town for a week!  I love this yearly tradition.  We have a jammed packed week full of fun dinners, a night in my favorite place San Diego, and M’s birthday dinner at Tar & Roses.  Dear M, I am so sorry I got you sick.  You are the worst patient ever too.  I am hoping the worst is over.  Dear Work,  Our Halloween/M0vember celebration on Wednesday was crazy fun.  So glad I had a couple of glasses of wine before I got on stage with my team and reenacted the Hit Me Baby One More Time music video.  Dear November, Boy did you sneak up on us!  I can’t believe it is just 3 weeks until Thanksgiving and 8 weeks until Christmas.  Holy Moses!   Dear Old Navy, I am loving your clothes recently.  I think you hired a new design team.
