1915

It's no secret I am pretty proud of my husband and today I feel like bragging a little bit.
He has made choices and taken risks that many people are to afraid to take.  He constantly tells me "We only have one life, we have to make the most of it!"  He was a semester short of graduating from Georgia State University when he decided he to transfer to film school and major in Cinematography.  He had to start all over.  I joke with him to this day that he could be a doctor.

In that four years made a name for himself at school and created friendships that will last a lifetime.  His senior year in college, last semester he went after the opportunity to direct a 3rd year film.  This is almost unheard of, but since no 3rd or 4th year directors didn't want to take on the role he went to the dean and asked for the opportunity.  He got it.

After a month of prep, 4 days of shooting, a few weeks of editing he was finished.  The whole process completely took over his life as well as mine {even with me living in Atlanta at the time}. When people say we are crazy for trying to break into Hollywood I look at them like they are crazy.  I have never met anymore more determined to make movies their life and get paid for it.  A new chapter just started for us and I couldn't be anymore excited.  Get ready to see us walking the red carpet one day because it is going to happen.  There are no other options.

BTW he accomplished both of his goals.

A Dream Vacation

This year M and I made the mistake of not going on a week long beach vacation.
Insert major sad face here.
We both though long weekends away would cut it but that was not the case.
Like crazy people we are already planning our vacations for next year.
For years my SIL, her husband, M and I have been talking about going on one big beach trip together.
Well this weekend we finally decided we are going to take the plunge and do it.

I need your help!
We know we want to go to the Caribbean, but where?
Clearly there is no bad answer.
Our only requirements are an awesome beach and fresh seafood every night for dinner.  This shouldn't be too hard!
Did we miss some place where you had the best time?  Let me know.
The only places we aren't interested in going are Grand Cayman and Jamaica.
Been there, done that.

Friday's Letters

Dear LA, You have a plan for me and I think I finally know what it is.  This makes me very excited.
Taken on our walk last night

Dear Ryan Lochte, You are so nice to look at!  I wish I could watch you swim every night.  It is weird that you are hotter since you only have time for one night stands?  I know this is so messed up but it is kind of like Christian Grey.  You are unattainable.
Even with clothes he looks hot!

Dear Weekend, I am very excited for you!  A friends birthday party and beer tasting in the hills.  Yes, please!

Dear Hair, I can't decide if I should grow you our or cut it off.  You are annoying me right now.
What I wished it looked like everyday

Dear Marco, Things are looking up for you.  I have this strange feeling that the next 12 months are going to be a roller-coaster.
Dear Readers, I am so beyond grateful for you. Each and every comment I cherish and can't believe you actually are interested in little old me.  As Sally Field's once said,
"They like me! They really like me!"

Have a great weekend:)

Inspire Me: HEALTHY

All In My Twenties

Today I am linking up with Kristin and Raven and will hopefully be inspired to get healthy!
Living in the land of beautiful people can be difficult.
After years and years of saying I want to just be toned or I only want to lose 10 pounds I think I finally found what works for me.

Set to energizing music, CorePower Yoga strengthens, balances, detoxifies and exhilirates the body and mind. CorePower Yoga classes will have you moving, breathing and sweating. No matter your age, strength or flexibility level, CorePower Yoga has a yoga class to meet you where you are.
{taken from here}

I have mentioned it on this little blog before and you all seem quite interested in hot yoga!
I took a weeks worth of classes and fell in love.

Why do I love it?
+Lots and lots of sweat+
+A place where I can turn my mind off for an hour is amazing+
+I don't feel judged by my skill level+
+It isn't your typical yoga class i.e. club music is involved+
+It's close to my house+
+I feel like I am elongating my spine and who doesn't want to be taller?+
+It is so darn hot the only thing you can focus on is the poses+

I can't wait to get paid so I can get a membership.

:::My fitness goals are as follows:::
CPY 3-4 days per week
Start running again-train for a 5K
Fit into size 6 pants by Christmas
Eat more fruit and vegetables
Watch less TV-Be more active

Oh, How Pinteresting

This week I have had very little motivation for blogging.
I blame it on my trip last week, the time change and the Olympics.
Hopefully next week I will be back to my normal self.
